NOA:BUNKURE LGA STEP UP EFFORT ON SENSITIZATION CAMPAIGN

The national orientation agency Bunkure local government area organises a sensitization campaign on five critical issues which includes: world HIV/AIDS day, security awareness, the getting quick rich syndrome, world human rights day and the tax reform bill.

The sensitization campaign include advocacy visits to traditional leaders of Kumurya, Bono and Barkum wards.

Also the gency visited primary and secondary schools as well visitation of  places of worship, and to artisans.

In her remark,  the community orientation and mobilization officer Bunkure local government area, Mrs. Grace Musa outlined the five critical issues affecting the well being of Nigerians.

She further emphasized the need for people to become aware and more conscious of their security and youths who are in the habit to get rich indulged in criminal activities.

She further said the criminal activities are on the increase due to economic hardship.

Mrs Grace however said citizens must reject short cut to wealth and to embrace hard work, integrity and the opportunity provided through government initiative to improve their lives and not to indulge in crimes.

She also outline the benefit of the tax reform which are beneficial to the masses from multiple taxation.

Mrs Musa noted that as the campaign coincides with the celebration of the world H.I.V/AIDS day and the human rights day both in December.

The agency is keying into the celebration to reinstate on the need for adequate awareness creation on H.I.V /Aids, and called on people of Bunkure to know their rights so that they will not be unduly mistreated or oppressed.
