The Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Isma’il Falgore has inaugurated the road project linking Rogo–Ruma, Gwangwan, Ruwan Bago and Falgore communities, alongside the reconstruction of the Gwangwan Bridge, which collapsed during last year’s rainy season.
The project is aimed at easing the movement of farmers and enabling them to transport their agricultural produce without losses during the current farming season.

This initiative forms part of the policies and programmes of Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, geared towards providing infrastructure particularly in rural areas to facilitate the movement of goods and services to both local and external markets.

According to the statement, the intervention followed complaints from residents of the affected communities, who highlighted the hardships they faced and the losses incurred to their farm produce during the previous year.
In his remarks, the Councillor of Gwangwan Ward, Usamatu Magaji Gwangwan, confirmed that the Speaker assured them that the bridge project would be completed within six months, thereby enabling farmers to transport their produce and achieve their agricultural targets.
He also expressed appreciation to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jibril Isma’il Falgore; the Director of State Programmes, Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo; the Chairman of Rogo Local Government Council, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha Rogo; a other stakeholders for their cooperation and support towards the development of Rogo Local Government.

He assured that the people of the area would continue to cooperate fully with the contractors to ensure the successful completion of the project.
