In a significant move aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure in rural areas, the community of Kiyawa in Bagwai Local Government has been blessed with the construction of new classroom blocks, a modern laboratory, a solar-powered borehole, and improved toilet facilities at GGSS Kiyawa.

Speaking during the ceremony of the projects, the Village Head of Kiyawa Alhaji Umar Jibrin Baba, expressed profound gratitude to the military official for initiating such crucial developments in the education sector.
In discussing employment opportunities within the Nigerian Army for youth from Bagwai Local Government, it was noted that, thanks to Major General Baba U Yahaya, over 100 indigenes have secured positions in the military.
Representing Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Olayede, Major General U. A. Yusif commended Major General Baba U. Yahaya for these advancements at the girls’ school in Kiyawa, emphasizing that the projects arrive at a pivotal moment of need.
The Chairman of Bagwai Local Government, Engineer Bello Abdullahi Gadanya, who was represented by his Vice Hon Haruna Garba Bagwai also expressed his delight at the project’s completion.
He encouraged Major General Baba U. Yahaya to consider providing additional classrooms in other wards of the local government area.
In his remarks, Major General Baba U. Yahaya stated that the initiative was designed to enhance the well-being and learning experience of the students and teachers at the school.
He also appreciated the Kiyawa community for their unwavering support in ensuring the project’s success and urged the Kano State Government to supply necessary equipments for modern laboratory.
Notable attendees at the event included was the Commissioner for Internal Security of Kano State, AVM Ibrahim Umar, alongside other prominent political figures from the area.
