Gov Yusuf commended on Education Recovery Drive Agenda in Kano

The Permanent Secretary Kano State Ministry of Education Alhaji Bashir Baffa Muhammad has commended Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for improving the state education sector through his systematic education recovery agenda.

In a press statement issued by the Director public Enlightenment of the ministry Balarabe Abdullahi kiru.

Alhaji Bashir Baffa made the commendation during an inspection visit to some schools as part of monitoring exercise embark upon by the ministry across the state.

Bashir Baffa noted that since inception of the administration of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf a lot have done to revitalize the education sector being the first priority of its cardinal agenda.

He explained that it was based on this commitment, the management of education ministry under the State Commissioner Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa embark on inspection visit to schools across the state to monitor the progress so far especially in terms of school feeding and infrastructural development.

” This morning, we have been to Government Girls Secondary School Shekara and meet the students on breakfast time.

I am happy to report that the food given to the students was very cleaned and enough to satisfy them.

” What my eye saw at Government Secondary School Gwale was also quite impressive because the school premises was neat and tidy and even the conduct of the staff was commendable” the PS added.

Alhaji Bashir further assured of the ministry commitment in complementing the effort of the State Executive Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf in moving the education sector forward.

While receiving the Permanent Secretary, the Principal of Government Girls Secondary School Shekara Hajiya Zainab Ado Ma’aji thanked the State Governor for his zeal and fashion in ensuring access and quality of education in the state.

“We have nothing to say but to thank His Excellency for his concern and total commitment to bring new changes to our education system which we are currently witnessing in the state ” said Zainab.

She appeal to the state government to consider converting casual staff working in the school to permanent workers to enable them give their maximum contributions.

The Principal of Government Secondary School Gwale Malam Rabiu Usaini Gano also narrated how the school is now progressing despite the vacant junior students classes that characterized the school due to the federal government de-articulation policy.
