WAYYA HOLDS MAIDEN MEETING WITH MANAGEMENT STAFF, HEADS OF AGENCIES

Kano State Commissioner of Information, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Wayya, has held his maiden meeting with the management staff of the ministry to familiarize himself with their roles and discuss strategies for enhancing service delivery.

In a press statement released by the Kano State Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs Special Duties Sani Abba Yola 

The statement said during the meeting, the Directors provided detailed briefings on their schedules of duties across various departments and highlighted key areas requiring attention to improve operations.

Addressing the management staff, the Commissioner reiterated his commitment to transforming the ministry through digitalization, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery in line with global standards.

Comrade Wayya emphasized his dedication to improving the welfare of management staff and information officers serving at Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) as well as Local Government Areas (LGAs).

He also pledged to prioritize training and retraining programs to equip personnel with modern skills for better dissemination of government policies and programs. 

Furthermore, the Commissioner assured the staff that necessary working materials would be provided to enhance productivity.

In a similar vein, the Commissioner held a separate meeting with the Heads of Agencies under the ministry to foster collaboration and synergy.

During the meeting, each Head of Agency briefed him on their achievements and outlined areas requiring the ministry’s intervention to achieve their objectives.

The Heads of Agencies in attendance included the Managing Director of Radio Kano, Adamu Abubakar Rano; the Managing Director, Kano Printing Press, Yahaya Muhammad Idris, the Managing Director Triumph Publishing Company, Muhammad Hamisu Abdullahi Managing Director, Censorship Board, Abba El-Mustaph; and the Managing Director of Abubakar Rimi Television. In his opening remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Adamu Bala Muhammad, assured the Commissioner of the staff’s unwavering support to ensure his success in steering the ministry towards achieving its mandate.
