Nassarawa Local Government Chairman, Amb. Yusuf Shuaibu Imam Ogan Boye, made an on-site visit to Zangon Tagwai Cemetery in the Giginyu Ward to assess the damage caused by recent heavy rains that led to the collapse of several graves.
In a press statement issued by the information officer of the LGA, Sharif Zahraddeen Usman kofar Nassarawa.
During the visit, community members shared their concerns directly with the Chairman.
The Imam of Zangon Tagwai, Malam Hafiz Liman and Muhammad Umar, also joined in the discussions, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
As the Deputy Algon Chairman of Kano Central, Amb. Ogan Boye has instructed the Local Government Works Department and Ministry of Environment to carry out a swift assessment and implement immediate corrective measures.
Should these local efforts fall short, the issue will be escalated to Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, to ensure prompt and effective intervention.
Along with him, is the Chairman Local Government Secretary Hon. Ado Muhammad Hotoro, Council Leader Hon. Aliyu Musa, other elected councillors, and management staff, demonstrating a united leadership approach to the challenge.
