The Kano State Council of Ulama has pledged its support for any initiative that will help curb criminal activities in the community and ensure peace and security in the state.
The Chairman of the Council, Malam Ibrahim Khalil, made this declaration when he received the “Know Your Neighbor” group at his office in Kano State.

He emphasized the need for collaboration and support to improve security in the state, given the group’s contributions to government efforts.
On his part the, Chairman of the “Know Your Neighbor” group, Comrade Muhammad Sani Garba, stated that the visit was to seek for the Council’s support in sensitizing the community on the importance of neighborhood watch and warn them about the dangers of criminal activities that can be of threat to security in the state.
The “Know Your Neighbor” group is a civil society organization that aims to promote security by combating phone scams, fraud, and drug abuse, among other initiatives.
