Kano MPPPM&E commissioner On Project Inspection Tour, Commends Contractors

Commissioner Ministry for Public Procurement Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Kano Comrade Nura Iro Ma’aji proceeded as planned with project monitoring supervision.

The Honorable Commissioner inspected series of ongoing construction of 5 kilometer roads and Kwankwasiyya Gida-Gida Blocks of school project.

During yesterday’s visit, the Honorable Commissioner commended the effort of the contractors and called on them to speed up the contracts.

Yesterday, the Honorable Commissioner visited Bichi, Tsanyawa, Ghari, Makoda and Danbatta Local Governments.

The Honorable Commissioner was received in Tsanyawa by the Education Secretary, Tsanyawa local education authority who took him round the ongoing construction of Kwankwasiyya Gida-Gida Blocks of 4 Classrooms at Government Secondary School, Stadium.

Other Places the Honorable Commissioner visited included Yusuf Maitama Sule College of Education, Ghari, Central Primary School Ghari, Tagwaye Primary School, Danbatta, Kantudu Primary School, Makoda, Agricultural Skill Acquisition Center Tukui, 5 KM road in Makoda and Danbatta local governments.

 

The Honorable Commissioner expressed satisfaction with quality, standard and progress achieved so far in most of the sites visited during the morning tour.

“Today, we inspected nine projects, we are very much happy, impressed with the level of work and commitment of the contractors.”

“I assured you that with this monitoring, the government will have value for money in all the projects His Excellency, Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf, Executive Governor of Kano State is executing.

The Commissioner promised to closely track down whatever the contractors are doing in the project sites across the 44 local governments in line with agreement reached.
