The Commissioner for women , children and disabled Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji Rano  State, has praised Governor Yusuf’s resolve to call for the transfer of the legal case involving some minors from Kano, back to the state necessary interventions to ensure their safety and rights while facing the law.

In a statement issued by the Director public enlightenment of the ministry Aishatu Haruna.

Saji rano who also amplified her voice to the numerous calls for proper justice for the #endbadgovernance minor protesters said, the governor’s resolve is in order, considering the fact that the offence allegedly committed by the minors happened in Kano, not Abuja where they are now being subjected to inhuman treatment.

She further added, that His Excellency has passion for children and the vulnerable where ever they are”.

The Honourable Commissioner narrates the Governor’s discomfort over the minors’ continuous stay in the custodial center who have been awaiting trial in Abuja, ever since the disturbing footages of their pathetic conditions were released through social media.

Expressing her grief over the incidence she said, she has been receiving calls from national and international for justice and better legal handling of the arraigned minors’ case, Honourable Saji in an effort to dismiss the Abuja trial as legally unnecessary, quoted a past NBA President, J.B. Daudu SAN who had earlier argued that, the Attorney General of the Federation has no locus to charge any of the young men we saw in the dock for any offence committed during the #endbadgovernance riots within the territory of their respective states”.

She therefore, appealed for a quick compliance of His Excellency’s directives and a subsequent quick intervention of justice for the minors to return home.

The Honourable Commissioner who is equally disturbed by the released videos of the minors in terrible shape and pathetic condition, further urged the Attorney General of the Federation to hastenly intervene in the case.

She also appealed to parents, relatives and guardians of the affected minors and even the adults among them to continue to exercise patience as the Governor and his judicial team will take charge of the situation within the shortest time.

She then advised every one, especially minors, to learn from the situation of the Abuja arraigned protesters and shun future acts of violence and destructive protests.

It however, be recalled that shortly after the heart touching videos of the protesters which went   viral on social media, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf directed the state judiciary as a matter of urgency to make it possible in bringing back the minors arrested to Kano for quick intervention and dispensation of justice.
