The appointment of Comrade Ibrahim Wayya as the new Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has been described as timely and well deserved.
This was contained in a press release jointly signed by the Kano State Coordinator and Secretary of the society, Aishatu Sule, and Adamu Ibrahim Dabo, respectively.
The release maintained that Comrade Wayya is well known for his commitment to positively deliver what he is assigned to do, a feat that is believed to be translated into his stay at this new position.
According to the Society, by virtue of his dexterity and vast experiences acquired for three decades as civil society activist within and across the nation, the government information system will witness positive transformation under his stewardship.
It urged both broadcast, print and online media practitioners and other stakeholders in the information management fraternity within the state to give the new commissioner all the needed support and cooperation to move the profession to the greater level for development.
Finally, the SNB congratulated Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for the successes he was able to accomplish and wished him a successful completion of his remaining years.
