Jobe, a town under the Shagogo Ward of Gaya Local Government Area, has spent more than 25 years seeking electrification from successive governments.

The statement revealed that the long-standing dream has finally become a eality.
In a significant development, a delegation from the Gaya Local Government recently visited Jobe town to officially flag off the first phase of the electrification project with the installation of electric poles.
Speaking at the event, the Councillor representing Shagogo Alh kabiru S pawa expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Governor and the Local Government Council for facilitating such a monumental project for his constituency.
The Chairman of Gaya Local Government, Hon. Mahmud Tajo Gaya, disclosed that three wards, including Shagogo, will benefit from the electrification initiative.
He urged community members to remain vigilant and protect the infrastructure from vandalism.
The contractor handling the project assured that the work will be completed within four weeks.
He also appealed for cooperation and support from the residents to ensure timely and smooth execution.
