The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kano State Chapter, commends His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his remarkable commitment to gender inclusivity and merit-based leadership through the appointment of distinguished women into key positions in the state.
NAWOJ particularly celebrates the historic appointment of Architect Hauwa Hassan Tudunwada as the Managing Director of the Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA)—the first woman ever to hold this position in the history of Kano State.
Architect Tudunwada, who also serves as the Vice Chairperson of Female Architects in Nigeria, is a seasoned professional whose expertise and dedication to urban development are well recognized.
Additionally, NAWOJ commends the appointment of Hajiya Zulaiha Aji as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Radio Kano.
This recognition further underscores Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s unwavering commitment to excellence and fairness in governance.
