The Nassarawa Local Government has sponsored more than twenty-one (21) students to pursue studies at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kazaure, in Jigawa State covering their educational expenses worth millions of Naira until graduation.

The Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government, Amb. Hon. Yusuf Shuaibu Imam Ogan Boye, disclosed this during a farewell ceremony organized for the departing students heading to the institution in Kazaure.
Amb. Yusuf Shuaibu Imam Ogan Boye emphasized the importance of dedication and hard work, urging the students to strive for academic excellence.
He reminded them that the Local Government had made a huge investment in their education and advised them not to let the people of Nassarawa down.

“The Nassarawa Local Government has spent millions of Naira to support your education so that you can acquire quality knowledge. I urge you to be good ambassadors of our community wherever you go,” he said.

In his remarks, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Ado Muhammad Hotoro (Mai Kaba), called on the parents of the students to monitor their wards’ progress and ensure they uphold good morals and represent the Local Government honorably.

He further stated that the students will be assessed every six months to evaluate their performance, and only those who show commitment and seriousness will continue to benefit from the sponsorship.
He therefore urged parents to keep encouraging their children to study diligently and not bring disrepute to the Local Government.
