The Kano State branch of the Association of Primary School Head Teachers has officially dissolved its Dambatta Local Government branch and held a fresh election.
This decision was announced in a speech by the State Secretary, Hajiya Amina, before the election proceedings began.
According to Hajiya Amina, the dissolution was necessary as many members of the Danbatta branch no longer serve as head teachers.
In his remarks, the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Jamilu Abubakar Danbatta, emphasized the need to address the issue of ghost workers within primary schools in the area.
He assured that he would work to revive the teaching environment by ensuring thorough supervision and providing teaching aids to the Local Education Authority for distribution across primary schools.
Hon. Dambatta urged teachers to be commited of their roles.
Acting Education Secretary of the Local Government praised Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf for prioritizing education in the 2025 budget, demonstrating a commitment to advancing educational standards in the region.
The newly elected Chairman of the association, Malam Idris Danjoko from Ajumawa Primary School, promised to work tirelessly to achieve the association’s goals.
He also expressed gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for approving a new minimum wage, encouraging all workers to reciprocate with dedication to their responsibilities.
