Barau FC continued their fine form in the season with a thrilling 3-2 win over Kwara United in a Matchday 15 clash that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The match began with Usman Maidubji scoring a stunning free-kick in the 20th minute, opening his goal account for the season.

Kwara United responded through their captain Eze, who netted the equalizer in the 39th minute, and Aule added a second in the 49th minute, briefly giving the visitors the lead.

Barau FC bounced back with Muhammad Umar leveling the score after finishing from a clever headed pass by Nura Ibrahim. It was Umar’s second goal of the season.

In a dramatic ending, Stanley Oganbor sealed the win with a 90th minute goal, converting Antony Sunday’s precise cross. The goal ensured the Maliya Boys walked away with all three points.

Barau FC have now recorded three home wins and one away win this current 2025/2026 season.

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kano State Chapter, named Stanley Oganbor the Man of the Match. Speaking afterward, Stanley said the team would redouble their efforts to keep the flag flying.
