YUMSUK:Twelve thousand Candidates Register for post UTME examination for 2024/2025 Academic session

Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano today, Saturday, 23rd November 2024 has successfully conducted its Post-UTME examinations for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The examinations took place simultaneously across the university’s two campuses: the City Campus at Kofar Nassarawa and the Main Campus on Muhammadu Buhari Way, Kano.

A total of 12,006 prospective candidates participated in the exams, vying for admission into the university’s eight faculties.

The exercise was characterized by peace and orderliness, a proof to the coordinated efforts of the university management, the Dean of Student Affairs, along with the active support of the students’ unions.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, expressed his satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the examinations.

He lauded the dedication and collaboration of all those involved in organizing the event, including the admissions committee, staff, and students’ union leaders.

Professor Kurawa personally inspected the examination venues across both campuses to ensure everything proceed as planned.

Prof Kurawa highlighted the significance of the Post-UTME process, noting that it serves as a critical avenue for assessing the academic readiness of candidates for their desired programs.

The Vice Chancellor also urged the candidates to remain disciplined and respectful throughout the process and wished them success in the examinations.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, Dr. Tijjani Rufa’i Buhari, commended the candidates and staff for their exemplary behavior and cooperation during the exams.

Dr. Buhari also extended his gratitude to the admissions committee for their dedication and meticulous planning, which contributed significantly to the success of the exercise.

The University Registrar, Adm. Isyaku Adamu, who joined the inspection, also praised the management’s efforts in ensuring a well-organized and hitch-free examination process. He emphasized the importance of collective effort and planning in achieving the success witnessed during the 2024/2025 Post-UTME exercise.

The Post-UTME examinations were conducted in two sessions—morning and afternoon—on both campuses, allowing the university to effectively manage the large number of candidates.

In a statement signed by the Head of Public Relations Unit of the University, Abubakar Ibrahim, highlighted the event, it shows Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano’s commitment to maintaining transparency and excellence in its admission processes.
