Ungogo Local Government has collaborated with a non-governmental organization, Equal Access International Nigeria, to improve security and protect lives and properties in the area.
The information officer of ungoggo Salisu Kassim said that the partnership was announced by the newly elected Chairman, Alhaji Tijjani Amiru Bilyamu, during the book lunch and inaugural committee of the equal Access international Nigeria by Women peace security Network.
Chairman Alhaji Tijjani Amiru Bilyamu who was represented by the Vice Chairman Auwalu Isa Idris pledged to provide all necessary logistics and support for the successful implementation of the programs.
He commended the organization’s efforts to introduce the program, which aims to achieve better results in security.
The representative of Ministry of Women and disable Samira Wada Kura urged committee members, including village heads, non-governmental representatives, and local government staff, to unite and contribute to the program’s success.
In his part, the representative of the District Head of Ungogo, Magajin Malam Alhaji Haruna Bello Bachirawa, promised to contribute more to the program towards achieving set objectives.
The Chairman of the organization, Amira Kano Hajiya Nafisa, explained that the program aims to address security issues and monitor changes in public as well as lives of properties among society.
She expressed gratitude to the committee members for their contributions towards the success of the exercise.
The Divisional Police Officer Dsp Adamu Musa and representative of the state association were among those that attended the event.
