A mining and processing company, Earth Wish Nigeria Limited has declared plans to employ over 100,000 Kano indigenes after it recently launched operation in the state.

Eagleeyes reports that the company, which engages in mining, processing and exporting mineral resources has been operating in Nigeria for over thirteen years in North Central and southern parts of the country.

Speaking after meeting with Commissioner, Ministry of Solid Mineral and Natural Resources, Safiyanu Hamza Kachako and Managing Director of Dala Inland Dry Port, Ahmad Rabi’u at the facility in Kano on Wednesday, Chairman of the company, Abba Sani Abdullahi, said the firm is in Kano to revive the mining industry in the state.

According to him, the company is planning to employ over 100,000 Kano indigenes, adding that the operation of the firm would contribute to the revenue drive of the state, which Is a commercial nerve centre of Northern Nigeria.

The Chairman explained that they had already established partnership with the solid mineral ministry and Dala Inland Dry Port for the mining and exportation of the mineral resources from Kano to China directly.

He diagnosed that the aim of the firm is to be exporting 100 containers of the mineral resources to China daily.

“Earth Wish Nigeria Limited. Is a mining, processing and industrial company of mineral resources. We are in Kano to revive the mining industry of the state. For about 13 years, our minging activities concentrated in North Central in Jos, Benue, Taraba, among others.

” Our export business was mainly in Lagos and Port Harcourt. So, we later realized that Northern Nigeria is not benefiting from our export activities. We always developed Southern Nigeria.

We deemed it fit to come and develop our state Kano, and Northern region. We believe we have the capacity to employ over 100,000 youths in mining activities alone. This is our biggest aim.

” Secondly, if we establish partnership with Dala Inland Dry Port, we can export our goods directly to China without minding to go to Lagos or Port Harcourt. This will make Kano to be enlisted among Non Oil Exporters. The investment would add value to Kano and boost its IGR. We intend to engage in mass exportation as we plant to export 100 containers everyday. We have so far exported about 200 containers.

Abdullahi also disclosed that the company is working on establishing a plant that would be separating the minerals from one another.

Additionally, he said, “we are also planning to establish ion melting and refining factory for direct export to the world markets without necessarily passing through China first.

In his remarks, the Commissioner expressed delight for the company’s decision to invest massively in Kano state.

However, the Commissioner warned the mining company against engaging underaged to work under it, adding that it should also consider environmental factors in its operations.

According to him, the coming of the company would boost the state’s Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, and improve employment rate as it promised to engage over 100,000 indigenes.

He also assured the company of its security and safety, stressing that ;”your investment is in a safe hand.”

But, you should be honest and transparent to the government and security agents in the state. We will give you all necessary corporation.

“I will one day personally invite his Excellency to come and see how you operate,” said the Commissioner.

He expressed delight for partnering with the Inland Dry Port, noting that the company had made the facility busy.
