This training marks a significant milestone, as it is the first of its kind in the history of the ministry.

In her opening remarks, Hajiya Aisha emphasized on the importance of aligning the ministry’s operations with global tourism trends.

She urged participants to take full advantage of the opportunity, ensuring that the knowledge gained would translate into better service delivery and sustainable tourism growth for Kano State.

“This initiative is part of our broader effort to reposition Kano as a leading destination for cultural and tourism experiences, both within Nigeria and internationally,” she stated.

Also speaking at the event, the Managing Director of the Kano State Tourism Board, Alhaji Tukur Bala Sagagi, commended the Honourable Commissioner for her visionary leadership and commitment to staff development.

He noted that the training represents a turning point in the ministry’s history and praised the state government’s support for revitalizing the tourism and culture sectors.

The Commissioner extended her heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his unwavering dedication to reviving and strengthening the cultural heritage and tourism potential of the state.
