K-SAFE Commends ₦4.38 Billion Education Investment, Sets Up Committee to Monitor Implementation

The Kano State Accountability for Education (K-SAFE) wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to the Government and the Ministry of Education for securing approvals totaling ₦4,386,213,146.87 for vital interventions aimed at improving learning environments and supporting pupils and students across the state.

The approved projects include:

₦429,913,619.52 for the settlement of suppliers of boarding schools feeding.

₦705,899,532.12 for general rehabilitation and land compensation at Government Secondary School, Kwankwaso, Madobi LGA.

₦1,147,582,000.00 for the provision of school uniforms to all Primary 1 pupils for the 2025/2026 academic session.

₦1,622,077,084.13 for the rehabilitation of seven schools destroyed by fire.

₦84,153,485.54 for the renovation of Kawon Alhaji Sani Primary School.

₦254,022,014.92 for the renovation of Giginyu Primary School and Government Junior Secondary School.

₦281,843,311.75 for the renovation of Government Girls Secondary School, Giginyu.

₦162,696,098.89 for the renovation of Government Girls Secondary School, Badawa.

K-SAFE recognizes this landmark investment as a bold step towards addressing long-standing challenges in the education sector and ensuring that every child has access to quality learning in safe and conducive environments.

To ensure effective utilization of these resources, K-SAFE has constituted a Monitoring and Evaluation Committee tasked with tracking the implementation of all approved projects.

The committee will engage with stakeholders, monitor progress, and submit periodic reports to guarantee accountability, transparency, and impact.
