Career Day Celebration Conducted by Nigerian Airforce Kano marks its 61st Anniversary

Nigerian Air Force, 455 and 403 Kano State Command has conducted a one day advocacy visit to schools for career day (Guidance) to celebrate its 61st Anniversary.

The career day is part of the activities line-up in compliance with the directive by the Chief of the Air Staff, Hassan Bala Abubakar to all the commands in the country to improve civic military relations.

The commander of 455 Base Service Group Kano, Group Captain M. Sulaiman, who led the team under the leadership of Chairman of the committee, Wing Commander YJD Yambilsu, the 403 group operation flying training school, visited some schools to conduct Career Day by enlightening the youth on career guide to inspire Young Nigerians to consider opportunities in the Nigerian Air Force.

The commander emphasized the importance of the career guidelines as part of their commitment to national unity.

“The essential reason for career day is part of the Chief of Air Staff initiative to ensure that there is sustainable civic military relations to make the public understand the role and functions and the activities of NAF,” he said.

He also said that for over two years NAF is also engaged in building vocational centers so as to take youths out of the streets.

The schools visited are GSS Gwale, in Gwale local government, Federal Government College, Tarauni local government and Nigerian Tulip International Colleges, Nassarawa local government areas.

A paper was presented by the flying officer FMD Mankilik, Corporal Timitimi and last corporal Haruna.

The career day explains the role of the NAF by providing peace and security across the nation and presentation of souvenirs to students who answered questions, asked at during the ceremony.
