Gwarzo Local Government Council, under the leadership of the Chairman Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo, has distributed essential medicines and medical equipment to health centres across the ten wards of the local government area.

The distribution exercise was officially launched by the Vice Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Abdulmumin Garba Lakwaya, who represented the Executive Chairman, Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo.
The donated items include blood pressure testing devices, glucometers, and other medical tools aimed at improving healthcare service delivery in the area.
During the event, Alhaji Abdulmumin Lakwaya stressed the importance of honesty and accountability among healthcare workers, urging them to ensure that the medicines and equipment reach the intended beneficiaries, in line with the directive of the Local Government Chairman.
He also extended gratitude to the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, and Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo for their commitment to improving healthcare services and prioritizing the welfare of Gwarzo residents.
On his part, the Supervisory Councillor of health of the area, Alhaji Nazifi Gambo Salihawa, warned the heads of health centres to desist in the sell of drugs distributed, urging them to use them appropriately for the benefit of the people.

Some of the healthcare heads who benefited from the gesture assured that the drugs would be distributed fairly to those that were intended for.
The event, which took place at the Gwarzo Islamic Centre, was attended by the Speaker of the Council, ward councillors, heads of benefiting health facilities, among others.
