Kumbotso Local Government has held a stakeholders’ engagement and community consultation meeting on the proposed 2026 budget.

During the meeting, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Governments, Tajo Ungogo, represented by the Director of Inspection, commended the Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Ghali Basaf, for his commitment, dedication, and vision towards transforming Kumbotso under his administration.

He noted that the initiative of holding such meetings was introduced by His Excellency the Governor to ensure the voices of the people are heard and their needs prioritized, adding that this would only be successful with the cooperation of citizens through prompt tax payments.
Also speaking, the Director of Finance and Administration of the Local Government, Alhaji Mustafa Uba Minjibir, described the new initiative as a lasting solution to developmental challenges, explaining that unlike before, communities now directly present their pressing needs while government provides appropriate solutions.
In his goodwill message, the Village Head of Wailari assured the Chairman that if the Local Government works closely with traditional leaders, it will not only boost revenue generation but also enhance sustainable development across the area.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Ghali Basaf, highlighted the major projects he has implemented across different sectors since assuming office.
He further assured the people of Kumbotso to remain hopeful, as his administration is determined to deliver meaningful development that will positively impact every corner of the Local Government.
He expressed confidence that the efforts being put in place will soon yield visible results.
Finally, the Chairman commended the Ministry of Local Governments for its continuous support and collaboration towards ensuring that the development agenda of Kumbotso is achieved.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of Kumbotso LG, Honourable Abdullahi Ghali Basaf, his Deputy, Honourable Sulaiman Basarake, the Secretary of the Local Government, Honourable Abubakar Bala Sheka, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Nafi’u Roja, the Director of Administration, Alhaji Mustafa Uba Minjibir, and other key stakeholders.
