The Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency has held a crucial meeting with advertisement practitioners operating within the state.
This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Munzali Muhd Hausawa.
In his remarks, the Director General of the agency, Comrade Kabiru Saidu Dakata, assured practitioners that the current administration is committed to revamping the sector.
He stated that the previous government neglected the industry, allowing individuals to prioritize personal interests over public good.
“Rather than generating revenue for the state, some diverted the funds into private accounts,” he said.
Comrade Dakata further assured the indigenous practitioners of Kano State of his commitment to strengthening the relationship between the agency and local stakeholders, promising an inclusive and transparent approach.
In their separate remarks, the chairman of the practitioners’ association Mallam Ibrahim Yusif and the secretary Alh Usman Garba congratulated the Director General on his appointment.
They expressed their willingness to cooperate fully with the agency and called on him to support their efforts in delivering quality advertisement services in the state.
They also urged him to redouble his efforts to support the developmental vision of the state governor, His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf.
