Kano State Government extends warm felicitation to 44 Local Government Chairmen on their First Anniversary in Office, commending their exceptional performance in grassroots Development.
The Commissioner Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Mohammed Tajo Othman disclosed while giving his goodwill message.
He said that their one year in office Surfaces 8 years of Local government administration under the previous government.
Mohammed Tajo noted that the state government has guided the Council Chairmen to prioritise infrastructure development, including the rehabilitation of schools, local government secretariats, and rural roads, as well as the provision of clean water, sanitation facilities, healthcare services, and rural electrification.
The Commissioner praised the Council chairmen for achieving impressive results through their dedication, hard work, and commitment to delivering on their promises.
He noted that they have worked in close collaboration with the state government under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to drive development projects and provide essential services to the people.
In her address, the ALGON Chairperson and Chairlady of Tudun Wada Local Government, Hajiya Sa’adatu Yusha’u Soja, stated that the council chairmen’s efforts have yielded significant gains and the state government has reason to be proud of their achievements.
She emphasised that the council chairmen are crucial partners in the state’s development journey, working tirelessly to drive growth and progress at the grassroots level.
Hajiya Sa’adatu reaffirmed the council chairmen’s commitment to supporting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration, pledging their continued collaboration to drive meaningful development and deliver essential services to the people.
She expressed confidence that their collective efforts would continue to yield positive results, improving the lives of Kano and advancing the state’s development agenda.
