Vice President Kashim Shettima, represented by Agriculture Minister Senator Abubakar Kyari, officially commissioned the AFCOTT Grains plant today.
He noted that the facility’s massive processing capacity 40,000 tons of sesame and 20,000 tons of other grains is set to boost exports and significantly improve the income of local farmers.

The investment by the Kewalram Chanrai Group is being hailed as a major win for technology transfer in Nigeria.
Representing Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Chief of Staff Dr. Suleiman Wali Sani stated that Kano is open for business.

He highlighted the state’s 1.8 million hectares of arable land and its ongoing investments in irrigation and mechanized farming as key drivers for making Kano a regional agribusiness powerhouse.
