The Rotary Club Kano, has donated 20 sewing and grinding machines to orphans and less privilege to enhance their business activities.
Presenting the donations , the president of the club in Kano Rotarian Olumide Idowu said the support is to inject economical stability for their family and that of the community.
On his part the immediate past District Governor Rotary Club International district 1925 Nigeria Sagab Sani Ahmed who pointed out the significance of partnership with the club is to support the community, he lament on the lack of active participation of the club in Kano.
One of the beneficiary, Hauwa Abdu Haruna said the sewing machine she receive will make her business to proper.
During the event, the club has presented 2024 Vocational award of excellence to the Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano state council Comrade Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi.
Receiving the award on behalf of the chairman, the Treasurer of the council Comrade Nura Bala Ajingi pledged to partner with organisation for a vibrant community development.
