The Kano Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa has urged Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa, a leading women’s organization in Northern Nigeria, to unite and support government initiatives aimed at empowering women and addressing the pressing issue of moral decadence in our society.

She said that the head of civil service, made this call today during a courtesy visit to introduce the new executive members of the Association.
The Head of Service emphasized the importance of collective action in shaping the lives of women and making their futures brighter.
He encouraged Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa to continue their good work and collaborate with the government to drive positive change for women in the region.
Moreover, he stressed the need to address the growing concern of moral decadence, which has permeated all aspects of our public lives.
Musa then commended the State Government for providing financial support to women across the 44 local governments in the state.
He acknowledged the government’s effort in addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by women, who are often the most vulnerable members of society.
He then appealed to the association to get directly involved in guiding the women on the effective use of the funds provided by state governments to ensure that the financial support is utilized efficiently in various small-scale businesses.
He emphasized the importance of a thorough assessment and analysis to guarantee the efficient use of the funds and maximize their impact.
He said by getting directly involved, the association can provide valuable guidance and support to help the women make the most of this opportunity and improve their livelihoods.
During the visit, chairperson of the association Kubura Ibrahim Dankani, who was accompanied by the executive members, introduced the new executive members of the association for guidance.
Dankani added that the purpose of their visit was to highlight some of the association’s activities, which include enlightening women on various issues that affect their lives, such as the effects of drug addiction, the importance of participating in elections, and guidance on avoiding social vices.
Furthermore, the Chairperson appealed for more support from the office of the head of service to help the association achieve its goals.
