Ten years development plan has been adopted by the peoples Democratic party in kano.
Disclosing this to pressmen during an interactive press briefing at the nuj Secretariat, the newly elected PDP state party chairman Hon Yusuf Ado kibiya said that the PDP development blue print was to rekindle the party in bringing on board party leaders, delegates and members of the community in restoring back the Economic glory of the state.
He then pointed out that Some of the PDP’s vision for intervention during his tenure include enhancement of democratic processes within the party, identifying and supporting credible leaders dedicated to serving the public with integrity and excellence.
Hon kibiya stated that the party will continue to strife to restore the trust of the people.
The state PDP party chairman said he will provide a platform where the challenges facing the state can be discussed and resolved.
While answering questions from press men on the issue of factional politics he said Mallam Ibrahim shekarau is still their leader and will always be.
“As we celebrate this milestone, we must also acknowledge the pressing challenges that our nation and state face today.
“The current national and state governments have fallen short in critical areas such as economy, education, health care, security and social services.
“In particular, we have witnessed a wanton destruction of highly established economic infrastructures of private investors, driven by petty political sentiments.
” Public funds have been grossly committed to infrastructures that are not readily needed, while our educational, health, and Agricultural sectors prime economic movers have been left in a state of despite.
“Many citizens are struggling to make ends meet, students are deprived of quality education and our health care system is in dire need of reform”, he said.
He call on all groups and individuals in the state to brace up towards having a responsive, transparent and accountable government.
