The Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KASA) has pledged to work closely with the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) to promote effective collaboration and development in the outdoor advertising sector.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment of the Agency, Munzali Muhd Hausawa.
According to the statement, the Director-General of the Agency, Comrade Kabiru Saidu Dakata, made this known during his visit to the Association’s headquarters in Lagos.
The visit was part of his three-day educational trip to engage key stakeholders in the outdoor advertising industry.
In his welcome address, the President of OAAN, Chief Sola Akinnailai, expressed his delight in receiving the delegation from the newly established Kano State agency.
He urged all members of the association residing in Kano to respect the laws of the state and cooperate with KASA to ensure the development of a robust and well-structured advertising roadmap.
Chief Akinnailai noted that Kano, being a major commercial hub, deserves modern and high-quality billboards that will enhance the city’s aesthetics.
He commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his ongoing developmental projects across the state.
In his remarks, Comrade Kabiru Saidu Dakata explained that the delegation’s visit to Lagos was aimed at learning from the experiences of the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA).
He also highlighted some of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s achievements, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to transforming KASA into a modern, efficient, and forward-looking institution.
