The Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KASA) has reaffirmed its commitment to sanitizing and organizing the placement of billboards and signage across the Kano metropolitan area.
According to the Director General of the agency, Comrade Kabiru Saidu Dakata, the agency has so far inspected over 300 billboards within the state as part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

This was disclosed in an official statement signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Munzali Muhammad Hausawa.
Comrade Dakata called on all billboard and signage owners to ensure their structures are properly installed and secured to prevent damage or collapse, especially during heavy rains or strong winds. He emphasized the importance of maintaining standards to safeguard lives and property.

The Director General also urged all practitioners in the outdoor advertising sector to register with the agency, warning that failure to comply may result in legal action.
In a related development, the Director of Operations, Yushau Umar, revealed that some structures are yet to be inspected.

He reiterated that all outdoor advertisers must register with the agency, adding that enforcement actions will commence by the end of the month.
The agency further appealed to members of the public to report any illegal or unsafe billboard structures to enable prompt action and contribute to the orderly development of the state.
