The Nigeria Health Watch team, under the Global Policy Advocacy Project, paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board (KSPHCMB), Professor Salisu Ahmad Ibrahim, to reinforce ongoing collaboration and strategic engagement in advancing primary healthcare advocacy.
The delegation, led by the Director of Advocacy and Partnership, Safiya Shuaibu Isa, highlighted the importance of sustained partnerships in driving impactful health communication and policy support across the state.

During the engagement, the team provided an update on the project’s achievements and measurable impacts recorded during the second year of implementation.
They also shared forward-looking plans and strategic priorities for the third year, aimed at deepening community engagement, strengthening policy advocacy, and enhancing health outcomes.
The discussions further emphasized the need for stronger coordination and alignment with KSPHCMB to ensure effective delivery and sustainability of project interventions.

In his remarks, the Director General commended Nigeria Health Watch for its commitment to improving healthcare systems through evidence-based advocacy and strategic communication.
He reaffirmed the Board’s readiness to sustain collaboration, noting that strengthened partnerships remain critical to achieving resilient and people-centered primary healthcare services across Kano State.
