The Executive Secretary Kano State Senior Secondary schools Management Board Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai has reaffirmed the state government ongoing effort to empowering girls in secondary schools with relevant skills to succeed in an increasingly competitive global economy.

The Executive Secretary emphasized that skills acquisition is essential for girls to become economically independent and contribute to national development, adding that the initiative focuses on providing girls with hands-on training in various skills, including poultry, fisheries, and other areas.
Speaking during a One Day NBAIS Stakeholders’ Sensitization and Special Interaction Meeting organized by NBAIS in collaboration with UBEC, held at Ado Bayero Hall Rumfa College Kano, Dr. Kabiru Zakirai stressed the importance of a collaborative effort between the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) and relevant stakeholders to address the persistent challenges facing the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS).
He also noted that the move requires a multi-faceted approach focusing on developing a robust and relevant curriculum that aligns with modern educational standards.
The workshop brought together esteemed dignitaries from various sectors, including the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education who represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, representative of Jigawa State Governor, religious leaders and eminent experts from higher institutions of learning.
The workshop, facilitate discussions and share expertise on the topic ‘Relevance of Stakeholders Engagement Integration Tsangaya and Conventional Education System in Nigeria”. The event featured presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, providing a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and best practices.
