Chairman, National Planning Committee of Spokespersons Summit, Prof. Sule Yau Sule has inaugurated Kano State Committee on Mobilisation and Sensitization for the second National Spokesperson Summit scheduled to hold in April 2025 under the leadership of Freedom Radio Station Manager, Alhaji Ado Sa’idu Warawa.
The summit is a collaboration between Federal Ministry of Information and Nigerian Institute of Public Relations to provide a comprehensive guide for image makers to enable them discharge their profession effectively.
Inaugurating the committee at Freedom Radio Premises, Prof. Sule charged the members to ensure Spokespersons from Ministries Departments and Agencies in Kano State participate in the forthcoming Summit.
This was contained in a statement issued by the state secretary of the committee, Usman Gwadabe.
Others terms of reference, the Chairman National Planning Committee said, members are to serve as the focal point for all Spokespersons and Information Officers whether federal, state or private organisations and to make ensure there is smooth communication and collaboration to persuade adequate participation from the state.
Prof. Sule who is also a Council Member, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) further urged them to provide periodic updates to the leadership team and submit a comprehensive post-event report detailing achievements, challenges and recommendations for future summits successes.
While expressing confidence reposed to the members in achieving the success of this summit, he revealed the committee work would be terminated on the commencement of the programme.
The Committee members are Alhaji Ado Sa’idu Warawa, Freedom Radio Station Manager as Chairman, Alhaji Aminu Inuwa veteran Public Communicator, Comrade Ismail Ammai Maizare, the General Manager, Nasara Radio, Veteran Journalist and Correspondent for International Media Organisation, Alhaji Mahmoud Ibrahim Kwari as member and Usman Gwadabe, the Director Public Enlightenment, Government House, Kano to serve as secretary.
