At a ceremony held at the Islamic Centre, the Chairman of Ungogo Local Government, Alhaji Tijjani Amiru Bilyaminu, represented by his Vice chairman, Alhaji Auwalu Isa Idiris Bachirawa, emphasized on the importance of utilizing the fertilizer effectively to achieve success in the program.
This initiative is part of the government’s effort to support farmers in the area.
Alhaji Tijjani Amiru Bilyaminu praised the commitment of both the state and federal governments in supporting rural farmers within the area.
The representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Ibrahim Aliyu, called on the people of the area to rally behind the current administration under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to move the area forward.
The Head of Agriculture and Natural Resources Ibrahim Shehu, 743 farmers from 11 wards will benefit from the program.
One of the beneficiaries, Musa Ibrahim, expressed his gratitude for the initiative and promised to use the fertilizer to improve his farming.
