The Chairperson of the Kano State Chapter of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Hajiya Fati Dogo, has concluded her tour of Police Area Commands and Police Mobile Force Squadron bases in Kano State.

The tour, which commenced on 26th November 2024, aimed to assess living conditions at Police Barracks, inspect ongoing projects, and engage with Police Officers’ wives and their families. Hajiya Fati Dogo also informed POWA members about planned empowerment programs for Police widows.
During the tour, the Chairperson visited Metro, Hotoro, Tarauni, Kano Central, Dala, Eastern Bye-pass, Bichi, Dambatta, Rano, Tudun Wada and Wudil Area Commands, as well as two Police Mobile Squadrons (9PMF & 52PMF) located at Hotoro and Challawa respectively in the State. She interacted with Police Officers, their wives, and families to understand their challenges and concerns.
The Chairperson reiterated POWA’s priority in ensuring a safe, supportive, and conducive environment for all members of the Police Force and their families.
This initiative demonstrates her commitment to improving the well-being of Police Officers’ wives and their families.
The tour provided an opportunity for the Chairperson to listen to concerns and suggestions from Police Officers’ wives and Women Police, focusing on enhancing their living and working conditions.
The Kano State Police Command appreciates the efforts of the Chairperson and POWA in promoting the welfare of Police Officers and their families.
