As part of her efforts to overhaul the Ministry of Women Affairs, Children and Disabled, the Honorable Commissioner, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi HOD, has ordered the immediate centralization of food stores within the ministry’s purview to prevent leakages and ensure transparency in the management of resources.
In a press statement issued by the, Director Public Enlightenment, Ministry of Women Affairs, Children and Disable, Kano State, Bintu Nuhu yakasai.
Additionally, the Commissioner pledged to equip various homes under the ministry’s scope with enhanced security measures.
This initiative she said will prioritize the safety and well-being of inmates and social workers across these facilities.
The Commissioner made these announcements today during a donation ceremony, where AMG Foundation – a non-profit organization founded by Doctor Aminu Magashi Garba, Governor Abba’s Special Adviser tasked with advising on both the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and the Ministry of Women Affairs through the Commissioner who presented essential items, including blankets, soaps, and detergents, to three beneficiary centers which are Shahuci Old People’s Home, Kwalli VVF Rehabilitation Center and Nasarawa Children’s Home.
While at the Kwalli VVF Rehabilitation Center she pledged to enhance the feeding capacity with higher-quality provisions.
The emphasized her commitment to ensuring that all centers under her ministry’s jurisdiction are equipped with essential medications and first aid boxes.
To achieve this goal, the Commissioner stressed the importance of collaboration with Primary Healthcare Agencies and Kano State Contributory Management Agency.
She expressed her gratitude to the AMG Foundation for their strong support to her ministry, acknowledging them as a pillar of strength.
The Commissioner’s visit was accompanied by the Special Adviser of the ministry, Sadiya Abdu Bichi, and directors from the ministry, demonstrating a unified effort towards improving the lives of vulnerable populations in Kano State.
