The Managing Director of the Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA), Arc. Hauwa Hassan Tudun-Wada, has reaffirmed the agency’s readiness to work closely with the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (KPCACC) to enhance transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery in the state.
Arc. Hauwa Hassan stated this while receiving the Chairman of the Commission, Alhaji Sa’id Yahya Sa’id, and his team, who paid a courtesy call to KNUPDA headquarters.
She noted that the Anti-Corruption Commission has continued to project a clearer image of the present administration through its dedication to addressing public concerns and ensuring due process in governance.
The Managing Director described Alhaji Sa’id Yahya as a hardworking, committed, and responsible public servant whose leadership continues to strengthen the state’s anti-corruption efforts.
She commended His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, for appointing a person of high integrity and capacity, describing the appointment as timely and highly beneficial to the state’s development agenda.
Arc. Hauwa Hassan Tudun-Wada further assured the Commission of KNUPDA’s willingness to comply with all lawful directives issued by KPCACC, emphasizing that collaborative efforts remain essential to improving the overall urban management and planning system in Kano State.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Alhaji Sa’id Yahya Sa’id, said they were at KNUPDA to discuss complaints raised by members of the public concerning urban development matters.
He stressed the need for KNUPDA and the Commission to operate as partners in progress, working hand-in-hand to address concerns and ensure best practices in service delivery.
Alhaji Sa’id Yahya further announced the Commission’s plan to organize a workshop aimed at improving synergy and strengthening service delivery between both institutions.
Also speaking, the Director Personnel Management of KNUPDA, Alhaji Salihi Yusuf Ibrahim, appreciated the Commission’s visit and advised both organizations to form a joint committee comprising KNUPDA staff and KPCACC representatives.
He said such a committee would help facilitate faster and more efficient handling of public complaints and operational processes.
