The Executive Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Ghali Basaf, has received the delegation of the Kano State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Haruna Umar Doguwa, during an inspection visit to the Challawa Water Plant located in the local government area.

Hon. Haruna Doguwa who ed the delegation to personally witness the ongoing rehabilitation works being carried out under the directive of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, aimed at addressing the acute water challenges confronting the people of Kano.
It will be recalled that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had earlier ordered the rehabilitation of the Challawa and Tamburawa water plants.
During the visit, Comrade Abdullahi Ghali Basaf reaffirmed his support to the Commissioner in ensuring proper monitoring of the works across all areas to guarantee effective project delivery.
The delegation also came across some dilapidated equipment left idle by the previous administration, which have now been replaced with modern and more durable facilities by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The Commissioner’s entourage included the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Abdulrazaq Haruna; Directors of the Ministry; the Managing Director, Engr. Garba Ahmad Bichi; as well as the Social Media team led by Salisu Yahaya Hotoro and the Radio Commentators’ team under the leadership of Alhaji Ji Nagoda.
