He called on parents to continue to bring out their eligible children to receive the immunization at canters or allow house to house vaccinators to vaccinate their children in order to get rid of the circulating variant polio virus resurfacing in some parts of the state, hence there is a need to put heads together to eliminate the menace.

The commissioner then charged health educators and social mobilization officers in the areas to intensify sensitizing the general public on the dangers associated with polio virus, as this is a strategy to safe guard their children against the dreaded disease.
