Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has sworn in fourteen Judicial members to constitute the new Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the End Bad Governance Protest.
The commission is tasked with investigating the recent protests that turned violent in the state, resulting in widespread destruction of properties and loss of lives.

The 14-member commission, comprising experienced judges, lawyers, and other stakeholders, was inaugurated at a ceremony held at the Government House in Kano. Governor Yusuf charged the members to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the protests, identifying the causes, perpetrators, and sponsors of the violence.
The Governor emphasized the importance of the commission’s work, stating that it was crucial to understanding the events that led to the destruction and finding ways to prevent future occurrences. He assured the members of his administration’s full support and cooperation, giving them a free hand to carry out their duties.
The commission’s terms of reference include:
– Investigating the causes of the End Bad Governance Protest
– Identifying the perpetrators and sponsors of the violence
– Assessing the extent of damage and loss of lives
– Recommending measures to prevent future occurrences
The commission is expected to submit its report within a specified time-frame, which will guide the state government’s response to the issues raised by the protests.
