A renowned Businessman in Kano and Nigeria in general, Alh Auwalu Abdullahi Rano has donated 15 hectares of Land in Rano town for the construction of Federal Polytechnic Rano which was approved recently by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
A Member House of Representatives for Rano, Bunkure and Kibiya, Right Honourable Kabiru Alhassan Rurum disclosed this when he paid a thank you visit to the business man in his office.
Right Honourable Kabiru Alhassan Rurum who was accompanied by leaders of Rano, Bunkure and Kibiya Development Association said the site is enough to build all the structures of the polytechnic.

The Turaki of Rano added that, Alh A A Rano has also pledged to build a parameter wall fencing for the proposed site of the polytechnic.
The two term former speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his approval to build the Federal Polytechnic in Rano among thousands of requests across the country.
He said the president was happy with the expansive land donated by A A Rano.
He explained that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Minister of State for Education have also pledged to support the establishment of the Institution for the benefit of Kano citizens and the northern part in general.
He pledged to bring more development projects to his constituency and Kano State at large.

On his part, the Chairman of Rano, Bunkure, Kibiya Development Association Alh. Umar Yunusa Danburan and chairman Board of Trustees, Senator UK Umar described the establishment of the Polytechnic and the donation of the land as fit for the growth and development of education in the north.
Responding, Alhaji Auwalu Rano thanked Right Honourable Kabiru Alhassan Rurum and tte community leaders in the area for the visit.
