Public service international partners with health personnels to boost health services in Tarauni LGA

The public service international project is designed to make impact on the development of healthcare services at hospitals in Tarauni local government area.

The coordinator of the project in Nigeria Mrs. Abiodum Badru stated this while opening a capacity building workshop for health workers and community of Tarauni Primary Healthcare Hospital in Unguwa uku. 

She urged management, staff and community of the area to find out ways to support healthcare services in the hospital. 

Mrs. Abiodum Badru who pointed out the partnership of the project with 153 countries and health organisations such as MHWUN said that  Tarauni was selected in Nigeria to be part of the beneficiaries of the project.

The workshop attended by thirty health staff and community members for an interactive sessions on the progress and challenges facing health care services in the facility. 

On his part the head of Education department Medical and health workers union of Nigeria National headquarters Dr. Ayegba Ojonugwu said PSI project is dedicated to ensure access to quality healthcare services for citizens. 

Speaking during the event, the chairman of Medical and Health workers Union of Nigeria kano state council (MHWUN) Comrade Babangida Musa Gwarzo said the objectives of the project is to partner with health organisations for effective healthcare services in the community in the next 3 years while appreciating partners for their concern.  

He added that PSI project is ready to support the facility with drugs, medical equipments and conducive atmosphere for healthcare services.

On his part the, District head of Tarauni, Sarkin Fadar Kano Alh. Ado Kurawa represented by wakili Alh. Jamilu Wada commended the project while assuring maximum support and cooperation for more success.

The primary health care coordinator Tarauni local government area Hajiya Lauratu Ibrahim said the department will do all its  best for the development of healthcare services in the area. 

Community Health extension workers and people in the community who participated at the occasion called for additional doctors, nurses, equipments, free drugs for child and maternal care.
