The Kano State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to establishing Computer-Based Testing (CBT) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centers in all 44 local government areas.

This pledge was made during the 2024 Science and Technology Week and World Science Day celebrations, held from November 8 to 11, 2024, at the Kano State Government House, Coronation Hall.
Themed ‘Global Science with Global Wellbeing,’ the event brought together government officials, industry experts, and students from various science schools.
The State Commissioner for Science, Technology, and Innovation, Alhaji Mohammed Tajo Othman, emphasized the pivotal role of science and technology in fostering innovation and societal advancement.
He said the Key Initiatives of the ministry includes Establishment of CBT and ICT centers in each of the 44 Local Government Areas, with a pilot project launching this year.
Stressing that establishing ICT and Industrial Parks Development of parks in rapidly growing urban centers to serve as hubs of innovation and reduce rural-urban migration.
“Integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics subjects into the school curriculum”.
