Kano state Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo,has expressed his appreciation for the turnout of parents in bringing their children for the polio immunization exercise in Ungogo Local Government.
In a press statement made available by the information officer of ungoggo local government area Salisu kassim yakasai, Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo made this announcement at the flag-off of the polio immunization exercise held at District Head’s palace at Ungoggo local government area.
Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam described the state government’s efforts towards eradicating the disease.
He urged traditional leaders to enlighten people across the state.
He added that the state government has provided full support and free drugs in all hospitals.
The Newly elected Chairman of ungoggo local government, Alhaji Tijjani Amiru Bilyamu, said that his council would cooperate fully and contribute to the end of polio in the area.
The Chairman commended Kano state Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his concern in strengthening healthcare to the people in the state.
The representative of the Emir of Kano Malam Muhammad Sunusi II , the District head of Ungogo, Magajin Malam Alhaji Abdulkadir Ahmed Chedi, promised to enlighten people on the importance of the program to achieve the set objectives.
The Director Personal Management, Alhaji Munzali Alhassan, appreciated the Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam for choosing Ungogo to host the polio flag-off ceremony.
The Vice chairman of the area Auwalu Idiris Isa and all councillors were among dignitaries that witnessed the occasion.
