In a landmark achievement aimed at enhancing grassroots healthcare delivery, the Executive Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government Area, Dr. Mani Tsoho, has led the commissioning of a newly built Primary Health Centre in Dankado town, located within Sabon Birni ward.
The commissioning, which marks another milestone in the council’s people-focused development agenda, was graced by top government officials, traditional leaders, and community representatives.
Representing the Chairman at the event, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Abdulmumin Garba Lakwaya, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving public health services across all wards.
He stated that the new health centre reflects Dr. Mani Tsoho’s vision of ensuring that every resident of Gwarzo Local Government, especially in rural communities, has access to quality and affordable healthcare.
Hon. Lakwaya commended the cooperation and support of the Speaker of the Gwarzo Legislative Council, Hon. Ahmad Shehu Sabon Birni, alongside other councilors, for their unwavering partnership in executing life-changing projects across the local government.
He emphasized that this joint effort has been instrumental in driving meaningful development at the grassroots level.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Ahmad Shehu Sabon Birni described the new facility as a beacon of hope for the people of Dankado and neighboring villages.
He praised the administration’s resolve to prioritize the health sector and pledged continued legislative backing for all initiatives aimed at uplifting the welfare of the people.
On his part, the Head of Primary Healthcare Department, Alhaji Tukur Makama appreciated the chairman for his foresight and support to the health sector.
He noted that the new centre will reduce maternal and infant mortality rates, provide immunization services, and ensure prompt medical attention for emergency cases within the area.
Community leaders, youth groups, and women associations also expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Mani Tsoho’s administration for fulfilling a long-awaited dream.
The event concluded with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony and a guided tour of the health centre’s wards and facilities.
