Kano state Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has flagged-off the second phase of maternal, newborns and child 2024 health week and the distribution of laptop computers to 484 primary health care facilities in the state.
Speaking at the ceremony, held at Kumbotso Primary Health Center, governor Abba Kabir Yusuf vowed to work judiciously to address Malnutrition for healthy well being of children in the state.
He urged the wealthy individuals in the community to contribute their quota in assisting vulnerable people with adequate diet to fight against malnutrition to the bearest level in the state.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment in reducing maternal and child mortality rate, malaria, HIV, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
Distributing the 484 laptop computers to primary health facilities in the state, Governor Yusuf advised them to make good use of the equipments.
In his welcome address, the commissioner for Health Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf appreciated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for approving over 170 million Naira to upgrade over 20 primary healthcare facilities to general hospitals in the state.
