Dala Local Government area has launched its polio immunization exercise at Gobirawa, Rijiyar Lemo, Yammata Transformer Lane.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of Dala Local Government Area, Alhaji Surajo Ibrahim Imam, urged health workers involved in the campaign to be vigilant in ensuring that every child under five receives the vaccine.
Alhaji Surajo Imam who was represented by his deputy, Alhaji Abdulaziz Dayyabu Maiturare, appealed to community members to support the health workers in their mission.
He also called on parents to cooperate fully by making their children available for vaccination.
The Chairman expressed gratitude to community leaders, including ward heads and village heads, for their efforts in assisting the populace.
In their remarks, the Primary Health Care Coordinator, Alhaji Lawan Ibrahim Getso, and the Councillor Health of the area, Hon. Aminu Mamman Yaro, commended the Chairman for his dedication to healthcare services.
Similarly, the local immunization officer, Malam Bello Sani Ahmad and a representative from the World Health Organization (WHO), Malam Yakubu Sani, urged parents to routinely take their children to healthcare centers to receive the vaccines.
In his remarks, the community mobilization officer, Malam Umar Muktar Modibbo, stressed on the importance of parents prioritizing their children’s health, especially during these cold season.
The District Head of Dala, Alhaji Abdullahi Lamido Sanusi, represented by Dagacin Yammata, Malam Babangida Auwal and Dagacin Gobirawa, Malam Musa Isah, reiterated their commitment to supporting the vaccination campaign.
The event was attended by representatives of national health organizations, including UNICEF, WHO, AFINET, councilors (both elected and appointed), and healthcare workers.
