Chairman Tarauni LGA Praise residents of Gyadi- Gyadi On the Monthly Sanitation Exercise

The Chairman of Tarauni Local Government area, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, has commended the residents of Gyadi-Gyadi Kudu and Gyadi-Gyadi Arewa wards for their remarkable cooperation in clearing drainage channels and cleaning their environment during the end-of-month sanitation exercise held on Saturday.

The Chairman, represented by his deputy, Khalid Ayuba, stated that this level of community collaboration is commendable and aligns with the policies of Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration, which prioritize cleanliness and public health.

He added that such efforts from the community are essential for achieving sustainable development and improving the quality of life for everyone.

The Local Government’s Information Officer, Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro, reported that Khalid Ayuba urged other wards to emulate the excellent example set by Gyadi-Gyadi Kudu and Arewa.

He assured that the local government would continue to support environmental sanitation initiatives and any other efforts aimed at improving the well-being of its residents.

The house leader also Councillor of Kauyen Allu, Ali Idris, and the Councillor of Gyadi-Gyadi Kudu, Shamsuddeen Tashir, pledged to intensify efforts in introducing new strategies for enhancing the end-of-month sanitation exercises across all wards in the area.

Furthermore, the Head of the Health Department, Hajiya Saratu Ibrahim, expressed her gratitude to the health workers and other stakeholders for their dedication in ensuring the success of the sanitation exercise.

In another development the vice Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Khalid Ayuba, led the flag-off of the polio immunization campaign in Unguwa Uku Ward at ‘Yankifi Lane.

He appealed to the residents to cooperate with health officials and support the exercise by bringing out children under five years old and newborns for the ongoing polio vaccination campaign exercise in the area.

The event was attended by councillors and special advisers from the local government area.
