The Parents Teachers Association of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso Bilingual College, Niamey, Niger Republic, has appealed to His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, to honor the promise made by former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to reinstate their children back to school in Niger.

The students have been out of school for over a year, while their peers in Niger have already resumed classes five weeks ago.

Chairman of the association, Dr. Ibrahim Habu commended Governor Yusuf for prioritizing education by allocating substantial funds to the sector in the 2025 budget.

However, he emphasized that the plight of the Bilingual College students remains unresolved, urging immediate intervention to ensure no child is left idle at home.

The association urged stakeholders to work collaboratively to fulfill Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s vision, emphasizing on the importance of equipping students with bilingual skills in French and English to enhance self-reliance and global competitiveness.

 The association called on the people of Kano State to continue supporting the educational initiatives of Governor Yusuf to ensure sustainable development in the sector.
